I really like how this one turned out. At first, I was going to color it completely, but as I worked, I felt if I just used soft colors, it would be better because between life and death, it isn't supposed to be colorful...at least, I' don't think so.
--------------------------------------------------------
Between Life and Death, there stands an Angel whose eyes cannot see what mortals see. This young, blind, Angel, stands forever holding the balance of Yin and Yang. She is the one who murmurs the song of death and lead you to your eternal rest. She is the one that whispers the melody of life, the same melody that the butterflies dance to. So young, so pure, so much without judgement. Just as the tide goes in and out, softly kissing the shore, Yin and Yang hangs in her hands, for she is the Angel Between Life and Death.

Hope you guys like it.
30 min. sketch, 1hr. photoshop linework, 45min. color coordination
great pic but the imagery is a bit muddled for me.
To me an angel is a heavenly being. Yingyang and balance is more of a taoist concept of balance. Heaven and Hell is anything but balanced, rather it's two polar extremes. That's why I'm so on this >.<
but otherwise I love the soft colors and especially the hand gesture. Very nice touch

Awesome! I don't care if I faved the other, I'm faving this one too, she's gorgeous! And I'm glad you didn't fully color her, the soft colors on her are the best!
To me, Polar Opposites are there to balance each other. If heaven't didn't exist, no one would counteract the bad done by hell. If hell didn't exist, all would be good with the world and we wouldn't know what evil was...
I'm reading about Taoism right now so it gets mixed into my art sometimes...
